Susan K. Freeman

Freeman, Susan Kay (Newman), age 62, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 7, 2012. She was born in Knoxville, TN on July 20, 1949 to the late Alma Ruth and Hugh H. Newman, Jr. She was preceded in death by special Aunt and Uncle Anna Lee (Ninnie) and Floyd Russell (Potsi). She is survived by daughter Kelli Freeman, son Bryon Freeman, grandson Chase Freeman, sister Kimberly Keeler (Michael), brothers Harry Newman (Carolyn), John Newman(June), and Steve Newman, special friend Linda Bowman Totty, special nieces Christian Perdue and Margo Hargis, and several nieces and nephews. Her children, her beloved grandson, her sister, and her animals Piper, Maggie, Chloe, and Hunter brought joy to her life.

The family extends their gratitude to the staff of Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Wilmington, NC for the amazing comfort and care provided to Susan and the family during this difficult time.

An ocean-side service officiated by Chaplin Sweetie Francis was held in Wilmington, NC on Saturday, March 10.
