

Tom Loyd Cook, 54, of Winnabow, North Carolina, went to be with the Lord on December 31, 2021. He was born in Denver, Colorado on February 6, 1967, to Ken and Carol Cook. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ken and Carol Cook, and his father-in-law, David Allen.
Because of his parents’ work, Tom grew up in Argentina. This contributed to his lifelong love of the country, the food, and its national sport, soccer. Tom was a fan of the River Plate soccer team in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the Argentine National Team, as well as multiple soccer clubs in Europe. Tom also enjoyed fishing, which he learned from his father, and he developed into an accomplished fly fisherman.
In Business, Tom became a skilled Food and Beverage executive and worked at quality hotels located in Asheville, North Carolina; Cheyenne, Wyoming; Missoula, Montana; and Chicago, Illinois. He subsequently moved into General Manager roles at hotels located in Baltimore, Maryland and Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina.
Tom was a devoted husband to Samantha, dad to Aspen and Erica, and stepdad to Stevie Ballinger and Josh Senn. He enjoyed traveling to visit family in Washington State, Argentina, Florida, and Texas as well as spending time during summers on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
A Celebration of Life will be held on February 5, 2022, at the Holiday Inn Wrightsville Beach. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made at https://givesendgo.com/G2FM1.
