Ursula A Strickland

Ursula Anna-Maria Winkelmann Strickland, 74, of Rocky Point NC, passed away on March 8, 2017. She was born May 5, 1942 in Green Wertfahlen, Germany to Albert Bernhardt Winkelmann and Hilda Hagar Winkelmann.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Pearley King “PK” Strickland, and her brother, Albert Winkelmann.

She is survived by her daughters: Bernardine Yantz and husband Oscar of Holden Beach, NC; Ursula Hodges and husband Calvin of Rocky Point, NC; Heather Kane of Kuwait; son-in-law: Korey Kane of Wilmington, NC, grandchildren: Jolene Hair, Hannah Hair, Kathy Holmes, Albeit Winkelmann-Hodges, Nicholas Winkelmann-Hodges, Reginald Winkelmann-Hodges, Margaux Hodges, Chasity Hodges, Kameron Kane, Ian Kane, Kelsie Kane. Great-grandchildren: Michael Denton Jr., Noah Crowder, Breana Yantz, Nate Felts.

Ursula was employed by General Electric for 32 years as a nuclear fuel operator.

The Funeral Service will be held at 2PM Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Home. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Children’s Tumor Foundation www.CTF.org.
