William Andrew Walton

William Andrew Walton (Andy), age 44 of Leland, NC went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 22, 2017. Andy was born in Wilmington, NC on October 3, 1972 to Robert A. Walton and Rosemary Walton Coleman.

Andy had many interests and talents. He excelled in everything he put his hand to. In his youth he loved to play baseball, going with his team to the NC State Championship playoffs. In early adulthood, he traveled the Caribbean as a personal chef on a yacht where he began to deepen his talents in the area of cooking. Over the years he found success as a chef to major restaurants, as a car and furniture salesman, landscaper in Wilmington NC, Myrtle Beach and Charleston SC. But his greatest love was for his two beautiful daughters Maranda and Mya Walton.

He was preceded in death by his fraternal grandfather, Victor G. Walton and grandmother Edna F. Pridgen. His maternal grandfather Edmond I. Brummett and grandmother Betty B. Ulrich.

Andy is survived by his two daughters, Maranda and Mya Walton of Summerville SC, his father Robert A. Walton (wife Jaime) of Harrells NC, his mother Rosemary W. Coleman (husband Harry) of Leland NC, his brother Robert A Walton,Jr. (wife Dayvon) of Rocky Point NC and two stepbrothers, Blake and Eric Jordan along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service will be held for Andy on Saturday, August 26, 2017, 11:00 AM at the Lighthouse Worship Center, 98 S Trade Way, Rocky Point, NC.

Andy was loved and he loved many people. He will be greatly missed. Be comforted! Because he acknowledged he was a sinner in need of a savior, he called on the Lord to forgive him and save him. From that point forward he had the promise of never being separated from the love of God through his savior, Jesus Christ. By making this simple confession before God and calling on the Lord to save us, we too have that same promise and we will see Andy again.
