Willie Peeler Lyerly

She was preceded in death by her parents Robert Lee Peeler and Elsie Safrit Peeler, her two brothers, Roy Lee Peeler, Harry Andrew Peeler, her two sisters, Bonnie Peeler Morrow, Lucille Peeler Walters and her husband of 64 years Billie Ray Lyerly.

She is survived by two daughters Becky Lyerly Bennett (Ronny), Myra Lyerly Martin (Willis). Four Grandsons, Ryan Bennett, Brent Bennett, Matthew Cumbee (Jessie), Andrew Cumbee (Sarah). Five great-grandsons, Josiah Lyerly Cumbee, Gideon James Cumbee, Abram Ray Cumbee, Rhys Alexander Cumbee, Simon Christian Cumbee, one great granddaughter Scarlett Katherine Bennett and several nieces and nephews and special friends, Claudia & Gene Evans, Steve & Brenda Aiken, Joe & Stacy Nemec, Myrtice Craig & Lori, John & Mary Jo Newton, Marie Riley and her many friends at Wesley Memorial Methodist Church.

Willie was a highly decorated athlete during her academic years. Willie loved the outdoors. She loved gardening, fishing, and flowers. She also enjoyed her bible studies, meals on wheels, many craft making and she was a wonderful cook.

Graveside Service will be held on September 20, 2025 at 3:00pm. At Shiloh Cemetery,1013 Cemetery Drive Faith, NC.
