Charles L Tyson

Lucama- Charles L. Tyson, 51, passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; James R. Tyson and Carolyn Adams Tyson.

He is survived by his two daughters; Brittany Tyson Howell and husband Daniel of Elm City, and Alana Tyson of Winterville; one granddaughter; Vivian Grace Howell, one grandson; Drew Bess Howell III, one brother; David Tyson and wife Susan of Wilson, two sisters; Cynthia Hendricks and husband Johnny and Allyson Gough both of Colonial Heights, VA, and special friends that were more like family; Reece Daniel, Brenda Morgan and Melvin Barnette.

Charles was a member of Milbournie FWB Church in Wilson. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was a huge Carolina Tarheels fan and loved to watch them play basketball. Charles worked in the vending and catering business for over 25 years and was a partner of CJ’s Vending. Charles always enjoyed cooking on the grill and hanging out with his faithful companions Sarah and Capone.

A visitation is scheduled for Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home. Family will not be present due to Covid-19 precaution. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at 2:00p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Park in Wilson, and will be officiated by Pastor Walter Tyndall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Milbournie FWB Church in Wilson.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home, 2704 Nash St. N, Wilson, NC. Due to Covid-19, we strongly request the use of masks however, this is not a requirement.
