He was the son of the late E.K. Taylor and Edna Minchew Taylor and was also predeceased by his brothers, Alvin Taylor and John Taylor and his sisters Peggy Batchelor and Edna Earl Avent.
Kit was the owner and operator of Eastern Produce and farmed for many years.
He retired as a State Employee after ten years. He loved rabbit hunting and being outdoors. He was a member of Gospel Missionary Church and was very active in the town of Sharpsburg.
Kit is survived by his loving wife of 29 years Sharon Taylor , his daughter Melissa Bailey and her husband Brian, his son David Hahn and his wife Holly, two sisters, Jackie Hicks and Barbara Groome and two grandchildren, Storm and Bella Davis.
A Celebration of Kit’s life will be held at 1 PM Thursday, October 13, 2022 in the chapel of Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home with burial to follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Elm City, NC.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
