Frances W. Hartis

Frances Whitley Hartis November 8, 1925 ~ January 18, 2015 Frances Whitley Harits, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2015. She was a retired school teacher. She was the daughter of the late Lonnie G. and Mattie T. Whitley and predeceased by her beloved sister, Marguerite Patterson Pleasants. She is survived by her son, Robert “Bob” Hartis of Kitty Hawk and loved companion, Cindy Boyette of Saratoga; daughter, Brenda Hartis Herndon (Henry) of Pikeville; grandson, Lee Herndon (Lisa) of Wilson; granddaughter, Trina Burwell (Eddie) of Raleigh; granddaughter, Susan Corbett (Jeff) of Burlington; grandson, Jason Herndon (Molly) of Raleigh; eight great grandchildren; two loving grand dogs; beloved nephew, Bill Patterson and family of Chicago, IL; niece, Rita Reghanti and family of Louisburg; loved companion and caregiver Danny Tomlinson; and much loved and appreciated caregiver Jackie Rogers. Special Thanks goes to Community Hospice of Wilson, Nurse Kim Shearin and Staff. Family Visitation will be at Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home 7:00 ~ 9:00 PM Wednesday, January 21, 2015.
