Irene Baker Lowe

Irene will always be remembered for her kind heart. She loved to visit with her friends and neighbors at Bradford Place. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching Nascar races, reading and traveling with her husband in her earlier years. Irene was a wonderful caretaker and she will be truly missed by everyone that knew and loved her.

Irene is preceded in death by her parents; Emmitte Baker and Ida Joyner Baker, her husband Nathan Odell Lowe, one brother Jack Baker and four sisters; Leona Baker Bunn (Dossie), Margarett Lee Baker, Jeroldine Baker and Glynderleen Baker Watson(Bennie).

She is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins, a special nephew Ronnie Watson, special cousin Minnie Baker Billups, special nieces Vickie Lowe Goertz and Becky Lowe, and great nieces Bailee Thomas, and Sophia Thomas.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home, 2704 Nash St. N, Wilson, NC 27896. A Graveside service will be held at 1:00pm at Evergreen Memorial Park in Wilson and will be officiated by Pastor Cliff Harwood.

The family would like to extend their gratitude for the compassionate care given by Dr. Laird and his staff at Wilson Medical Center.
