Jackie Elizabeth Vaughn

Jackie Elizabeth Stancil Vaughn Jackie Elizabeth Stancil Vaughn passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2016. Jackie was born in Wilson, NC on November 12, 1944. She was a Fike High School graduate and attended Atlantic Christian College. Jackie married her sweetheart, Raymond L. Vaughn in June of 1965 and was married for 50 years. Jackie worked with Vaughn Construction for many years. She also worked for Bruce Stancil Refrigeration, but her passion was when she went back to school and became a Hearing Instrument Specialist for Carolina Hearing & Balance/Avada Audiology for 13 years. She loved her patients and what she could do for them. She was most proud of becoming an author and having her book “Sir Nicholas, A Childs Adventure” published. She enjoyed pageants, working in her yard, dancing, swimming, writing, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Eva Stancil of Wilson. Jackie is survived by her husband, Raymond L. Vaughn of the home; son, Jeff (Allison) Vaughn of Wilson; daughter, Lynn (Brad) West of Fremont; three grandsons, Nicholas, Chance and Ayden; and one granddaughter, Addison Visitation will be 2:00 -~ 3:00 PM Monday, April 4, 2016 at Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home with the funeral service in the chapel at 3:00 PM burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.
