Janice Moore, a beloved and kind-hearted resident of Wilson, North Carolina, passed away on January 27, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on September 25, 1940, Janice was known for her hard-working nature and her deep love for her family and community.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Godwin and Pearl, her son Tony Moore, and her sister Geraldine Ruffin. Janice is survived by her son Heath Moore, her daughter Angie Moore, and her grandchildren Brooks Pittman, Zachary Moore, and Jessica Moore. She also leaves behind five great-grandchildren who will cherish her memory.
Janice had a passion for watching Tarheel Basketball and adored dogs, especially beagles. Her warmth and kindness touched the lives of many, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, located at 2800 Nash St. N., Wilson, North Carolina, 27896. The service is scheduled for February 4, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
