
JENNIFER GLOVER BACON December 3, 1969 – March 18, 2016 Jennifer Glover Bacon, 46, of Wilson, passed away Friday. The family will receive friends 7 – 9 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2016, at Thomas-Yelverton Funerals and Cremations, 2704 Nash St., Wilson, and other times will be at the home. A graveside service in Evergreen Memorial Park will be held at a later date. Jennifer was a graduate of both James B. Hunt High School and East Carolina University. She held several positions in the field of Microbiology and, in recent years, actively home-schooled her son, Seth. Jennifer’s main priority in life was looking after both Scott and Seth, always making sure their needs were attended to. She was also known as the neighborhood “Mama”, entertaining the neighborhood children at her home with games, food, and fun. Jennifer was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Surviving are her husband, Scott Bacon; her son, Seth Allan Bacon; her mother, Ruby Glover of Wilson; one sister, Robin Wilkie and husband, Kirk, of Cary; numerous aunts and uncles, including a special aunt, Lynda Campbell; and many cousins, including Renee Flowers and Logan Butts. She was preceded in death by her son, Matthew Scott Bacon; her father, Curtis Glover; maternal grandparents, Willard and Lucille Poythress; paternal grandparents, Willard and Dorothy Glover; and a special uncle, Bill Campbell.
