Joseph "Joe" Charles Woodard

Joseph "Joe" Charles Woodard, 78, of Macclesfield, North Carolina, passed away on May 14, 2026. Born February 12, 1948, Joseph will be remembered with deep respect and gratitude by all who knew him, a beloved and cherished presence whose kind-hearted nature left a lasting imprint on family, friends, and church communities.

Joseph devoted 35 years of faithful work to Estes Trucking, a steady and dependable commitment that reflected the care and consideration he brought to those around him. He was also a committed employee to Canteen for 11 years, where he was loved and cherished by all that worked with him. He was so highly thought of there that even the President of the company took the time to reach out and commend him for his efforts! He also served his country in the Army and the National Guard, answering that call with quiet dedication and a sense of duty that earned enduring respect.

A man of faith and fellowship, Joseph was a member of New Heart Fellowship Church and New Beginning Free Will Baptist Church, where his warmth and gentle spirit were known and valued.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Ivan Woodard and Eunice Barnes Woodard, and his beloved wife, Jeanette Barber Woodard.

He is survived by his son, Michael Woodard (Laura); sister, Vicki Webb; granddaughter, Kaycee Oliver (Drew); and great-granddaughter, Lylah Arizpe.

A Memorial Service will be held at New Beginning FWB Church, 5607 Gardners School Rd, Elm City, NC 27822, on May 21, 2026, at 7:00 pm. A visitation will follow the memorial service.
