Patricia "Patsy" Proctor Hart

Patricia “Patsy” Proctor Hart, age 82, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at ECU Medical Center. She was born December 17, 1942 in Wilson County to the late Sam Berry Proctor and Lula Holder Proctor. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 52 years William “Billy” Hart who passed away in 2014, her mother-in-law Huldah Hart, her brothers, James Proctor and Bobby Proctor, her brother-in-laws Jimmy Hart and Brittan Ford and her sister-in-law Barbara Hart Pridgen.

Patsy was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and Christian. She loved her two children, ten grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren the most. She serviced her church, Mt. Zion Methodist, at every opportunity through the women’s group and HOPE pantry. Her favorite things to do was attend bible study, crafting – making something out of nothing, and having her great grandson Julius.

Left to cherish her memory is her son William “Bill” Hart, Jr. and his wife Margaret of Elm City, her daughter Amelia Hart Rhodes and her husband Tracy of Goldsboro, her brother Richard Proctor and his wife Marie of Elm City, her sisters, Lillian Enroughty and her husband Herbert of Nashville and Dare Ford of Elm City, grandchildren, Jamie (Clayton), Austin (Michelle), Jonathan, Brandon (Sybone), Amanda (Doug) , Samantha, Julie (Bryton), Jordan, Samantha ( Ross) and Dallas, great grandchildren, Russ, Eli, Julius, Brody, Blair, Isaac. J.J., Caleb, Everett, Mason and Cali.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, January 17, 2025 at 2 PM in the chapel of Thomas – Yelverton Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Haddock and Rev. Leo Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
