Richard Marvin “Sam” Green, Jr. age 77, of Holdens Crossroads, passed away at Wilson Medical Center on June 23, 2014. Sam was a loving husband and caregiver to his wife Delanie and beloved father, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Delanie Webb Green of the home; two sons, James Richard Green (Debbie) of Holdens Crossroads and Tony Wright Greene of Penders Crossroads; daughter Kimberly Greene Millinder and husband Richard of Raleigh; granddaughter, Laci Greene of Greenville; pets Jake and Emma and any other stray that came into the yard throughout the years. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday night, June 26, 2014, from the hours of 6 until 8 PM.
