Agnes "Pat" Pennington

Agnes "Pat" Pennington, age 99, of Winder, GA passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025. She was born in Cumming, GA on July 26, 1926, to the late Ernie and Carrie Bennett Shadburn. Pat was a loving mother and devoted homemaker who took joy in a clean home and cooking for her family. She was quick witted and never lost her amazing sense of humor and ability to make others laugh. She was a faithful member of Church at Winder where she loved singing hymns and honoring the Lord.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, H.H. Pennington, two sons, two brothers, four sisters, and one great-grandchild. Pat is survived by her son, Donnie Pennington of Bethlehem; two daughters: Connie Walley of Winder and Kim Miller of Winder; one brother, Roger Shadburn of Dahlonega, ten grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Smith Funeral Home, 755 Atlanta Hwy SE, Winder, Georgia. Her funeral service will be Friday, August 8, 2025, at 1:00 PM in Smith Memory Chapel. She will be laid to rest following the service at 3:00 PM in Memorial Park, Gainesville, GA.
