

Carol Ann Grealish, age 76 of Winder, passed away peacefully in Kansas on Wednesday, June 26, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Frank Joseph and Carrie Frances Gradig. She was a member of Saint Matthew Catholic Church. She was active in the Barrow County Chamber of Commerce where she served as an Ambassador and attended the Friday Morning Networking group. Carol was also an active member of the VFW and Moose Lodge. She was the first female squire for the Jack Daniels Tennessee Whiskey Corporation. Carol was the owner of The Happy Hooker, Inc. in Winder since 1975 where her motto was "If we don't have it, you don't need it", and she was the first female around to travel to Bass fishing tournaments. She was a phenomenal mother.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Edward P. Grealish, Jr. She was also preceded in death by her brothers: Dick Gradig, Ray Gradig, and Marvin Gradig; sisters: Della Kubicki, Jody Hellmer,and Jean Griffin; and her son-in-law, David Frost.
Carol is survived by her children: Troy Dean Soukup and Debora Lee Frost; step-children: Edward P. Grealish, III, Brian Patrick Grealish, Sharon Ann Reynolds, Judi Lynne Girdeau, and Lynda Christine Powell; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Monday, July 1, 2024 from 9:00 am until 10:30 am. Following the visitation, there will be a Memorial Service in Smith Memory Chapel. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Carol be made to Camp Oo-U-La (Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation), or to Peace Place, Inc.
