

Charlotte Louise Braswell Craft, 75 of Eatonton, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2024. She was a 1967 graduate of Monroe High School and went to become a cosmetologist at Athens Technical School. Before retirement, Charlotte worked for Delmar Blinds for many years. She had a stubborn will, but loved hard. Her family was everything to her especially her grandchildren who affectionately thought of her as their Gandi. Charlotte loved country music, loved to dance and was a huge Conway Twitty fan.
She is survived by her son, Benji Craft of Atlanta; her daughter, Jennifer Sunderland of Statham; three sisters: Ruth Spratlin of Monroe, Linda Butler of West Point, and Becky Montgomery (Woodson) of Watkinsville; and four grandchildren: Sidney Craft, Cooper Sunderland, Maddie Craft, and Bella Sunderland. She was preceded in death by her parents, V. L. Braswell and Sara Baxley Braswell; her brothers: Billy, Tim, Ray, Gene, and John “Johnny” Braswell; and her sisters, Katherine Braswell and Frances “Cricket” Wall.
A celebration of Charlotte’s life will be held at 3PM Friday, October 11, 2024 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Family and friends are invited to The Montgomery Farms cabin, 1980 S. Barnett Shoals Rd, Watkinsville, GA 30677 following the service.
