Clara J. Bell Allen

Clara J. Bell Allen, age 87 of Bethlehem, GA, passed away on November 25, 2025. Clara was the daughter of the late Billy Josh and Helen Bell of Bethlehem. She had been employed by JCPenney. She never sat still because there was so much she loved to do. Clara enjoyed sewing, gardening, exercising, traveling, and being with her beloved family.

In addition to her parents, Clara was predeceased by her husband, James "Bud" Allen; son, Donnie Allen; siblings: Julian Bell and Lisa Woodard; grandson, Jacob Saunders; and son-in-law, James Saunders.

Clara is survived by her daughters: Kathy (Michael) Barnette, Marsha (Gerald) Wiley, and Sandy (Pete) Shand; brother, Charles Bell; sisters: Barbara Goddard, Donna Standridge, and Janice Barckley; grandchildren: Brooke (Todd) Harris, Tammy (Andrew) Kaba, April (Scott) Mashburn, Angel Wood, Hannah (Jonathan) Phelps, Rebekah Key, Dustin Shaw, Chandler (Ashley) Shaw, Hunter Shaw, and Blaze Shaw; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 3:00 pm at Bethlehem First United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service starting at 2:00 pm. Donations in memory of Clara Allen may be made to Bethlehem FUMC.
