Curtis Glen Banks, age 70, of Dacula, GA passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025. Curtis was born in Mt. Pleasant, TX to the late J. B. and Barbara Ann Stevens Banks. Curtis retired after serving in the U.S. Air Force as an Aviator Mechanic. After retiring from full time military service, he worked with the Veterans Administration and retired again. He was a member of Valley Mills First Baptist Church in Valley Mills, TX where he sang in the choir. He loved people and never met a stranger. Curtis loved making people smile.
Curtis is survived by his children: Kyle Banks of Tallassee, AL and Sacha (Shawn) Stroud of Dacula, GA; sisters: Cathy Stewart and Shannon Banks, both of Waco, TX; and grandchildren: Keira and Kendal Stroud.
A visitation will be held Friday, May 23, 2025 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home, 755 Atlanta Hwy SE, Winder, Georgia. The Funeral Service will follow at 4:00 pm in Smith Memory Chapel. He will be buried in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
