Danny James Butler

Danny James Butler, age 54, passed away on June 11, 2020 after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer the end of April 2020. Danny had three major passions in life - his daughters, bodybuilding and playing the drums. Danny started bodybuilding at the age of 14, and by age 16 he was winning teen bodybuilding competitions including second place in the Peach State Teenage Classic for the State of Georgia. In recent years, he was also a certified bodybuilding instructor. He continued working out at the gym regularly up until his diagnosis. Danny also spent some time as a professional wrestler while living in Texas. Danny loved music, and was an excellent drummer. He started a band as a teenager that went on to play in local venues.

Funeral services will be held Monday June 15, 2020 at Smith Memory Chapel at 2:00pm. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 2-4pm. He will be laid to rest at Barrow Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include his daughters; Michaela Hope Butler, Lily Danielle Butler; parents; father and stepmother; James Ishmael Butler (Kathryn), mother and stepfather; Evelyn Hinson Butler Morrison (Louis); sister; Cindy Butler Gallamore; niece; Ansley Michelle Tornambe (Cory); and great-niece; Adelyn Grace Davis, as well as 4 step-siblings.
