Darrel Sellers

Mr. Darrel Henry Sellers, age 83 of Winder, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2016. He served in the United States military in the Navy during the Korean War. He was employed by Savannah River Plant.

Mr. Sellers is preceded in death by his parents, Hershel and Eula Mae Robertson.

Mr. Sellers is survived by his wife Sue C. Sellers; a son, Jeffrey Doyle Sellers of Easley, South Carolina; daughters, Karen (Kent) O’Sheilds of Martin, Georgia, Tami Howell of Easley, South Carolina, and Amy Dunahoo Weathers of Winder; Grandchildren, Mendy Weathers Church, Kim Weathers Kiesel, Nathan Todd Weathers, Gregory Scott Patterson, Jr., William Darrel and Grayson Hamilton Louern, Joshua Richard and Jeremiah Chad Hall, Jamie Rebekah Wilson, Jana Thomas Bennett, and Chelsey Catherine Howell; and 13 Great-Grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 15, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Smith Memory Chapel with the Rev. David Cook officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at the funeral home.

In Lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Memory of Mr. Sellers to either the Relay for Life- American Cancer Society at P.O. Box 22478 Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or to St. Jude’s Children Hospital at Palisades Office Park, 5901 Peachtree Dunwoody Road, Atlanta, GA 30328.
