David Jasper Ellington Jr.

Mr. Ellington was a carpenter for many years and was also employed by Duckhead in Winder. He was a member of Union Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents: D.J. Ellington, Sr. and Doris Peppers Ellington, his wife Barbara Nell Phillips Ellington, and his brother Ronald Ellington.

Mr. Ellington is survived by his two daughters: Donna (Chuck) Caldwell of Jefferson and Dana (Todd) Maynard of Winder. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Morgan (Sean) Brookshire, Andrew (Brittany) Maynard, and Sarah Caldwell; three great-grandchildren: Ava Brookshire, Erin Brookshire, and Will Brookshire; and a sister Ann (Herman) Mote of Winder.

A Graveside Service for Mr. Ellington will be held Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 4:00 pm at Barrow Memorial Gardens and the family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm, prior to the service, at Smith Funeral Home in Winder, Georgia. Jimmy McDonald will officiate the service.

In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to the charity of your choice in memory of David Ellington.
