Debra Jean Barrett

Debra Jean Barrett, age 59 of Winder, GA passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. She was a person you could tell anything to and you never worried about her judging you no matter what. She went through a lot in her life but she overcame a lot and was still the best mom she knew how to be. She was the strongest and sweetest woman with the biggest heart. She would do anything to help those who needed it however she could. But, she was still fierce and stood up for herself and her loved ones when she needed to. She had the best personality and was so much fun to spend time with. It was an honor for people to know her. In her spare time you would find her riding motorcycles, finding her way to the beach, and loving on her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by son in law, Thomas Brock; brothers: Ricky Hall, David Hall, Willie Phillips, and Mike Phillips; and sister, Mary Alice Hall. Debra is survived by her husband, Dean Barrett of Winder, GA; son, Jason Childers of Atlanta, GA; daughter, Jennifer Brock of Winder, GA; sisters: Kim Phillips of Martin, GA and Lynn Dial of Bogart, GA; grandchildren: Alexis Brock, Logan Brock, Colten Patton, and Brooklyn Patton all of Winder, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews including: Jason Allen, Brad Esco, Josh Esco, Shane Reidling, and Robert Phillips.

Visitation will be held at Smith Funeral Home Sunday, January 28, 2024 from 5-8PM. Funeral Service will be held in Smith Memory Chapel on Monday, January 29, 2024 at 11AM. The burial will follow at Center Hill Baptist Church, 2940 Gratis Rd NW, Monroe, GA.
