Duwayne Edward Kitchen

Duwayne Kitchen, age 67, of Jefferson, GA passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023. Duwayne was a native of Dearborn, MI and was the son of the late Bonnie May Daugherty Kitchen and Edward Earl Kitchen. Duwayne was a man of many talents. Musician, Entrepreneur, Fisher, Hunter, Outdoorsman . The man knew how to see the good in all things. Most of all telling stories of his life and telling everyone through his ups and downs how good God is. His passion for Christ Jesus allowed him to minister everywhere his feet would go. He found his one true love, Cathy. They were each other's biggest fans. Always had a song ready to sing at any moment and a smile so big with eyes so blue it would light up the room. Always surrounded by those who love him and those he loves. He loved watching, celebrating, and supporting his grandchildren with all their talents from playing sports to gymnastics to dancing and music.

In addition to his parents, Duwayne is preceded in death by his brother Michael Kitchen. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Cathleen Ann Kitchen of Jefferson. He is also survived by his son Duwayne Kitchen of Flint, MI; daughters: Melissa (Dennis) Simpkins of Flint, MI, Theresa Kitchen of Algiers, MI, Billie Jo (Matthew) Fouts of Jefferson, GA, and Brandy (Brian Odom) Gould of Statham, GA; brother, Garry (Carol) Kitchen of Hoschton, GA; sisters: Brenda Jones of Herron, MI, and Rhonda (Breeze) Robinson of Gulf Breeze, FL; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at Smith Funeral Home, 755 Atlanta Hwy SE, Winder, GA, on Sunday, December 17, 2023 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm. A Memorial Service will be held in Smith Memory Chapel following the visitation at 4:00 pm. Pastor Jonathan House will officiate.
