Elizabeth Barber age 88 of Bethlehem, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016. She was a member of The Bethlehem First United Methodist Church for over 60 years. She retired as a supervisor for Barrow Manufacturing Company. Elizabeth loved to travel and loved to do yard work and cut grass. She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Annie Mae Hardy Miller; her husband of 43 years, John Royce Barber and three sisters, Emmaleen Sorrells, Catherine Sorrells and Doris Everett. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Karen Barber of Bethlehem and two grandchildren, Houston and Clayton Barber. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 17, 2016 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at Smith Funeral Home, Winder, GA. Funeral services will be at 2:00PM Friday, March 18, 2016 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Bernat officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem First United Methodist Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem First United Methodist Church.
