Ernestine Bailey, 88 of Winder, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023. She was a Christian and a former member of Bethlehem First Baptist Church. Ernestine was a strong proud woman who loved being a homemaker to her family. Ernestine loved being outdoors in her garden and bird watching.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilburn and Vivian Blackwell; her son, Buck Bailey; a daughter, Missy Morgan; a brother, Van Blackwell; and a grandson, Ryan Morgan. She is survived by her loving husband, William Bailey of Winder; a son, Walt Bailey (Sarah) of Statham; daughters: Fonda Sullivan (Edward) of Winder and Celina Davis (Steve) of Hoschton; a brother, Jerry Blackwell of Winder; a sister, Sue Brown of Mobile, AL; grandchildren: Heather Sullivan, Brandi Colon, Rebecca Davis, Nick Davis, Heidi Morgan, Will Morgan, Ben and Shelby Bailey; and great-grandchildren: Hannah and Haley Sullivan and Emma and Maddie Colon.
Graveside services will be held at 2PM Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Barrow Memorial Gardens, Winder, GA.
