Darin was born in Athens, Georgia, on June 1, 1965, to Richard Henery and Sarah Lou (Dunson) Hooper. Darin was raised Christian and remained spiritual into his adult life. He was retired from UGA where he worked in the maintenance department for 30 years. Darin was a lifelong Georgia resident.
Darin enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, to which he affectionately referred to as “Elvira”. He also loved spending time with Sam and Molly, his dogs who he loved dearly. He will be remember for his great heart. He was always willing to help anyone in need.
Darin is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Sarah Hooper; and his dog Sam.
Darin is survived by his brother, Richard “Robbie” Hooper; close friends Bekah and Corey Curry, whom he referred to as “sister” and “brother”; and a host of friends. He is also survived by his dog Molly.
