Mr. James Rudolph Saunders

Passed away September 11, 2010 in Monroe GA. Rudy was born in Athens, GA January 21, 1946. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was a master carpenter and he was a western style square dance caller. He called for the Jug Tavern Squares and The Lakeshore Squares. He was a veteran of the US Airforce. Rudy was Preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. James Randolph and Sara Elizabeth Miller Saunders and a Grandson Drew Herdman. He is survived by His Life Partner Patty Rowland, Monroe. His Son Chip Saunders, Abilene TX. A Daughter and Son-In-Law Kelly Diane and Shawn Herdman, San antonio TX. His Step Mother Karla Saunders, Winder. Two Step Brothers and their wives, Jay and Trudy Rogers, Senoia, GA and Tracy and Judy Rogers, Marble Falls TX. A Sister and Brother-In-Law Pam and Tim Clark. Patty's Children Kay and Rickey Rowland. Four Grandchildren Evan and Ethan Herdman, Stephanie Ellis and Kristin Hooper.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 PM and 6-9 PM Monday September 13, 2010 at Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday September 14, 2010 at Smith Memory Chapel, Winder, GA. Interment will be at Barrow Memorial Gardens. The Rev's Billy Pittman and Donnie Pennington will officiate.
