Judy Hicks Stephenson

Judy Hicks Stephenson, 79 of Statham, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024. She was born in Lithonia, GA and was a member of The First Baptist Church of Lithonia. Judy retired as the vice president of Pinnacle Credit Union after 30-plus years of service. Her kind and sweet demeanor will always be remembered, inspiring others for years to come. She loved her family wholeheartedly and was adored by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will always remember Gamy/Minnie as a loving grandmother and often, their playmate.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Celia New Hicks Sr, and her loving husband of 58 years, Larry Stephenson. She is survived by her son, Sam (Lisa) Stephenson of Jefferson; her daughter, Julie Rhodes of Statham; her brother, Charles Hicks, Jr of Braselton; four grandchildren: Michael (Allie) Stephenson, Ashley (Canyon) Cook, Chandler Stephenson, and Tucker (McKenna) Rhodes; five great-grandchildren: Stetson, Emerson and Anderson Cook, Stella and Macallen Stephenson; many dear nieces, nephews and cousins; and her beloved fur baby, Lizzie.

A celebration of Judy's life will be held at 11:AM Saturday, July 13, 2024 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with Rev. John Burchfield officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
