Larue Huntzicker, 100 of Auburn, passed away Friday, June 21, 2024. She was a native of Barrow County and spent 25 years working in Decatur, where she was an RN for a General Practitioner. Larue was a member of Corinth United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. She loved baking and working with her flowers, but mostly her family, more especially her grandchildren.
Larue was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Drue Willie Odum Thomas and her sister, Carolyn Thomas Gaines. She is survived by her daughter, Sheryl Pepper (Jim) of Auburn; a granddaughter; three great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2PM Tuesday, June 25, 2024 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home, Winder, GA with Rev. Jennifer Carey officiating. The family will receive friends from 1PM until service hour at the funeral home. Interment will follow services in Barrow Memorial Gardens.
