Mrs. Ferguson was born on February 13, 1939 to the late Fred and Adelia Elliott Coursey. She enjoyed helping others as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
She is survived by her husband, Carl M. Ferguson of Bethlehem, GA; her sons, Tony Woodall of San Francisco, CA and Larry Fitzpatrick of Alpharetta, GA; a daughter, Norma Presnell of Statham, GA; a stepson, Kenneth Ferguson of Dallas, GA; stepdaughters, Charlotte Martin of Aurora, CO and Carla Bailey of Rockmart, GA; a brother, Norman Coursey of Cumming, GA; her sisters, Regina Massey of Clairmont, GA and Margaret Langford of Gainesville, GA; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 from
2:00 to 4:00pm. Reverend Robert Schwartz will officiate a service of remembrance during visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
