Lois W Wall

Lois W. Wall, born September 18, 1926, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 7, 2022. A resident of Barrow County, Georgia, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, W.C. “Tip” Wall. She first met Tip at Cooks School and they married in 1947 after he returned from World War II. Lois was the daughter and last surviving child of the late Welton Louis and Lena Brock Wall. She was preceded in death by brothers Ralph and Ellis Wall.

Lois graduated from Winder High School in 1943. She attended Perry Business School in Winder following graduation. Lois was a lifelong member of New Pentecost United Methodist Church where she served in many capacities. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her greatest joy was cooking for her family and friends. Everyone always looked forward to meals at Mama Wall's.

Lois is survived by her children Melissa (Ashley) Saunders, Phillip (Jackie) Wall, Tony (Denise) Wall, and Melinda (Kendall) Williams; grand-children Chip Saunders, Stuart Saunders, Nick Saunders, Joanna Rennie, Scott Wall, Nicole Wall, Erin Skinner, Russell Wall, Patrick Wall, Wesley Cooper, Casey Crowe, and Lindsey Williams; and 26 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Lois' life will be held Friday, February 11, 2022, at 2 pm at New Pentecost United Methodist Church. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. A reception will follow the service in the fellowship hall. She will lie in state at the Church from 1:30 pm until the service hour.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 11, 2022, from 11:30 am until 1 pm at Smith Funeral Home in Winder, Georgia.
