Marcia Wiley Smith

Marcia Wiley Smith, age 81, passed away on June 9, 2023. Marcia was the daughter of the late Jerome and Marie Hill Wiley. Marcia is preceded in death by her daughter Tamara McKay, her parents Jerome and Marie Wiley, and her brother Terry Wiley

Survivors include her husband, Benjamin "Bennie" Smith; children: Christi (Ray) Callihan and Amy Smith; brother; Bobby Wiley; son-in-law, Donnie McKay; grandchildren: Tyler (Bridget) Callihan, Dr. Dylan McKay, Anna Callihan, Emily (Joey) Fitzpatrick, Caleb (Hannah) Miles, and Nolan Miles; and great grandchildren: Bexley, Remi, and Ava.

Marcia loved life and was passionate about many things. She was a loving mother and grandmother and adored her 3 great grandchildren. She was an avid sports fan and loved attending football games at Winder-Barrow High School. She never missed watching the Georgia Bulldogs and wore her National Championship shirt with pride. Marcia was a skilled gardener and often helped others with their gardening projects. She enjoyed working in the flower gardens at church. Her yard always reflected her love of beautiful flowers and plants. She loved her Sunday School Class and will be remembered for planning and decorating for many wonderful class parties. Marcia loved Elvis! One of her favorite memories was attending an Elvis concert in the 1970’s.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday June 14, 2023 at 4:00 pm in Smith Memory Chapel. Rev. John Birchfield will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Wednesday prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: Smith Cemetery Fund c/o Cynthia Miller, 974 Hog Mtn Rd. Winder, GA 30680.
