Mary Elizabeth Nix

Winder, Ga.

Mary Elizabeth "Beth" Nix, age 56, died Friday April 24, 2015. A native of Barrow Co. Mrs. Nix was the daughter of the late Joe and Frances Harwell. Mrs. Nix worked for Barrow and Walton County EMS. Mrs. Nix was preceded in death by son; Haven Nix; brother; Joe Harwell Jr.

Memorial services will be held in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home on Thursday April 30, 2015 at 2:00pm. Rev. Bill Hayes and Dr. David Cook will officiate.

Survivors include husband; Louis Griffith; son; Ben Nix; step daughter; Emily (Michael) Cooper; sister; Jennie (Dick) Mitchell; brother; Chris (Rhonda) Harwell; grandchildren; Osee Anna Nix, Sahara Elizabeth Nix, Turner Griffith;niece; Katie Pruitt; grand nieces; Maci, Kayla, and Abby Jo Gosnell; dear family friend; Phillis Billings.

The family wishes to express there heart felt thanks to the caring staff of St. Mary's Hospice: Carole, Millie, Paige, and Bill.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12-2pm Thursday.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Union Baptist Church, St. Mary's Hospice, or a charity of your choice.

Smith Memory Chapel, Winder, has charge of arrangements.
