Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her husband David Fleming Thompson Jr. Mrs. Thompson worked for the Chamber of Commerce and Barrow County Board of Commissioners. Mrs. Thompson was a member of Winder First UMC.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11:00am at Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6-8pm.
Survivors include children; Christy (Andy) Hamilton, David Fleming Thompson III (LIsa), Fred (Amy) Thompson; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, has charge of arrangements.
