Thinking of you and how you must miss your mother. She was such a bright spot in our lives and still can't quite believe she is gone.

To the Callihan Family,

        Mrs.  Callihan was one of two kindergarten teachers who taught my sister, Kathy and me. She was so good and kind to us. We were taught to color, cut with safety scissors, paste (but not to eat it), to churn butter, to sew, make crafts/masks and do many other demanding and necessary skills that kindergarteners needed to learn. We learned countless rhymes and songs including, "My Grandfather's Clock". We made the clock sounds with percussion sticks that we struck together to make the sounds of the grandfather clock. We learned many rhymes. I recall one that was my favorite:
  
 Grasshopper sittin' on a sweet potato vine
    Ol,' Turkey Gobble come sneakin' up behind.
    Snatched him down before he changed his  mind.
Smacked his lips said, "Sure is fine!"
 
I have many wonderful memories of that time and of your dear mother. She was an amazing woman! She was so kind to us. I suppose the most enduring lesson she and  Mrs. Pat T taught us was to "play nice" (i.e.. to be kind to one another). Wouldn't it be an amazing and different world if we all learned to listen to the lessons that our kindergarten teachers taught us; to play nice!
       Mrs Callihan left this world a better place because of the life she lived. Although her influence in my life was early and brief, it was impactful and meaningful! What a blessing our paths crossed! Thank you Mrs

We loved having Pat for a neighbor here in Highlands. Our dogs loved seeing her sitting on the porch and would rush over to greet her. I enjoyed sitting with a glass of wine and passing the time of day.  Pat has been a touchstone for the street and has been sorely missed. I am saddened to hear of her passing.  

So many fun times in Highlands and I feel so lucky to have had known her!

Miss Pat was my kindergarten teacher and later I was her dentist!  A delightful and elegant lady!  My condolences go out to Lin, Ray, Connie and family from all the Petree's.

Aunt Pat to our family.  Many precious memories.  She was always, always kind and dressed to the nines.  Loved her family and her late husband fiercely.  A grand lady lost on earth, but gained in heaven.  Love and comfort to the family.  Cindy and family

Always kind and patient. Always sharing with me about Connie. Always so poised and dressed so nicely. Loved Highlands. Never complained. Never looked her age. A dear friend with a kind heart. I will miss her.

Mrs. Callihan had such a great sense of humor, and was always so sweet to all of her neighbors and their children.  Mrs. Pat and husband, Cal, have been such wonderful family friends.
One day, (when I was younger), I was in the car as the passenger- I can’t really remember where we were going,  but we were flying.  I remember telling her “you sure drive fast!”  She replied, “well, I want to get to where I’m going!”  
A great cook, friend, and very smart accountant, she left us in the most peaceful way.
We will miss you so much.
