Ralph W. "Rusty" Smith, III

Ralph W. "Rusty" Smith, III, age 66, of Auburn, Georgia passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2025. Rusty was born in 1958 to the late Ralph Walton Smith, Jr. and Audrey Wessinger Smith. He grew up in Villa Rica, GA and attended Villa Rica High School. Rusty had been employed with Caterpillar, Inc. He attended 12 Stone Church. Rusty was a man of faith who loved the Lord with all of his heart as well as his family including their family pet Samson. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved camping, fishing and taking nature walks.

In addition to his parents, Rusty was preceded in death by his daughter, Crystal Ashley Smith, and his sister, Cindy (Smith) Dean. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Susan Arellano Smith; his children: Ralph W. (Alicia) Smith, IV of Hiram, GA, Chelsea Smith of Portland, OR, and Monica (Arun) Smith Bahn of Dallas, TX; sister, Julie (Smith) Cooper of Loganville, GA; grandchildren: Adalee Smith, Ralph Smith V, Raul Hernandez, and Sushila Bahn; and niece Liza (Lovell) Morris of Monroe, GA; nephews: Brian Cooper of Conyers, GA and Joe Lovell of Auburn, GA.

A Memorial Service will be held at Loganville Church of God at a later date.
