Richard "Dick" Alldred, Sr.

Richard “Dick” Vincent Alldred, Sr, passed away, Friday, August 2, 2024. He was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. Dick was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and served during the Korean War as a machinist, afterwards using those skills and knowledge to enhance his skills as a salesman in the tool and die business. Dick loved his family and working in his garden and he was an avid beekeeper.

Dick was predeceased by his parents, Frederick Vincent and Sadie Miller Alldred; his loving wife of 58 years, Thelma Townsend Alldred; a daughter, Lynn Alldred; two brothers, Harry and Fred Alldred Jr. and a sister, Rita Lowe. He is survived by his daughter, Rita Bentley (Chris) of Jefferson; three sons, Rick Alldred Jr. of Jefferson, Danny Alldred (Robin) of Germantown and Steve Alldred (Yvonne) of Germantown; 12 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.

A Celebration of Dick’s life will held at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Winder, GA, Friday, August 23, 2024 at 10:30 AM. Donations in honor of Ms. Thelma may be made to the ALS Association at https://donate.als.org .
