Sue Nix

Sue Nix, age 74, of Bethlehem, Georgia passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021. Sue was born August 4, 1947. She was a lifelong resident of Barrow County and was a graduate of Winder-Barrow High School. She attended Bear Creek Baptist Church and was dearly loved by her family.

Mrs. Nix was preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Sudie May McElhannon Casper, her husband Preston Earl Nix, a brother Charles Casper and a sister, Sara Puckett. She is survived by her children: Eric Rockmore of Bethlehem, Wanda Harigan of Pikeville, TN, Denise (Chris) Bentley of LaFayette, GA, and Teresa Coleman of Bethlehem. Additional survivors include: a brother, Emory Casper of Bethlehem; sister Betty Nichols of Winder; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

A funeral services for Sue Nix will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, September 27, 2021 in Smith Memory Chapel with interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Winder. A visitation for family and friends will be Monday, September 27 from noon until 2:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home. Rev. Johnny Wright will officiate the service.
