Sybil Louise Saunders, age 98 of Winder, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2015. She was a member of The Winder Wesleyan Church. Mrs. Saunders was the owner of Saunders Day Care for 26 years. She was preceded death by her parents, Hill Columbus and Effie Mae Fields Reynolds and her husband of 50 years, Poley Saunders. She is survived by a son, Brad Saunders (Frances) of Winder; two daughters, Brenda Thomas (Gary) and Patricia Grant (Romaine) both of Winder; three grandchildren, Michelle Miller, Stacey Barnette and Justin Grant and four great-grandchildren, Jonathan and C. J. Lassiter and Colton and Callie Grant; three step-grandchildren, David Thomas, Kay Fricke and Sabrina Franklin; four sisters-in-law, Eris Saunders, Katherine Healan, Lois White and Katie Reynolds. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation will be held Friday, August 14, 2015 at Smith Funeral Home, Winder, GA from 6 until 9:00PM. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, August 15, 2015 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Barrow Memorial Gardens.
