Mr. Morgan was predeceased by his parents, Reverend Eddie and Belle Morgan of Milner, Georgia, his brother, Gene (Dottie) Morgan, his sister, Martha (J.T.) Becker, and his late wife of 51 years, Evelyn Johnston Morgan. Mr. Morgan is survived by his and Evelyn's children, Richard Morgan, Greg Morgan, and Kelly (Rusty) Morgan Anderson, and grandson, Griffin Anderson. Mr. Morgan is also survived by his wife, Vicki Dickens-Morgan and step-children Dana (Bryan) Schmidt), Dan (Wren) Dickens, and grandchildren Walker and Eleanor Dickens.
Mr. Morgan and his wife Vicki returned to his hometown of Milner after being away since 1959 and rekindled many friendships. Mr. Morgan was an active member of Milner Baptist Church and truly loved his Lord and his church family. He and Vicki enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing and riding the roads of Milner in their golf cart. He loved visiting with old friends and making new friends everywhere he went. Mr. Morgan was a wonderful husband, loving father, stepfather and friend. He shared a special bond with his grandson Griffin and was a fun grandfather to Walker and Eleanor. Mr. Morgan will be missed by his family, friends and furry companion Max. He and Max shared food, sweet tea, car rides, John Deere rides and long naps together. Whether it was just lending an ear, sharing a joke, or quietly helping someone in need, he was passionate in his love for others.
In lieu of flowers, Tommy would love that you help someone in need in your community.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, is entrusted with the arrangements.
