Victoria Patricia "Vikki" DeStefano

Vikki grew up in Elizabeth, NJ, where she attended Catholic Elementary School and Elizabeth High School. She was an avid lover of English, which she continued in community college. Vikki had the kindest heart and an abundance of friends throughout her life. While eventually having children, she was a den mother, school mom, was part of the PTA for several years and supported her children in every endeavor. She had a smile that could brighten any room. She had a love of art, writing, and all things positive. Her heart knew no bounds, and her spirit never quit. She was a gift to so many. Everyone's kids called her "Mrs. D". If you look at her Facebook page, she had over 200 of "her kids" that could always count on her for just about anything. Vikki was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Winder. She loved working with flowers and was the former owner of Just Peachy Florist in Port Reading, NJ. Vikki loved cooking and she enjoyed dancing with her husband, Dan.

Vikki was preceded in death by her parents, Josephine Castaldo and Gennaro Armenante of Newark, NJ and her brother, Dominic Armenante. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Dan DeStefano, Jr. of Winder. In addition to her husband, Vikki is survived by her children: Donato (Vanessa) DeStefano, III of Ewing, NJ, Gennaro (Jillian) DeStefano of Sewaren, NJ and Samantha (Michael) Pitchford of Flowery Branch, GA; and eight grandchildren: Angelina, Isabella, Joseph, Nicolas, Gennaro, Madison, Andrew, and Daniel.

A celebration of Vikki's life will be held at 2PM Thursday, August 17, 2023 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12PM until service time at the funeral home.
