Peacefully with her family at her side on August 23, 2012 at 78 years of age. Loving wife of the late Herbert Stephenson(1984). Beloved mother of George (Helen), Burt (Lynn), Gregg (Karen), Scott, Teresa (Chuck) Howell, Ronn (Pauline) and the late Brett (1977). Cherished grandmother of Jennifer Letourneau, Derrick (Melissa), Lisa (Michael) Verzosa, KrissyAnn, Carrie , Chrystal, Brett, Jennifer, Caroline Howell, Sarah Howell, Eric Howell and Devin. Proud Great- Grandma to Tyler Lavigne, Ryan, Vanessa, Blake, Madison, Zachary & Christian Verzosa. Twins Ethan & Matthew Verzosa, TJ, Chyrain Carter. Alvina, an inspiration to all she met, will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends. Special thanks to the Nurses and Staff of the Hotel Dieu Grace Renal Dialysis Unit and Hospice Volunteers for many years of Love, Care and friendship. Visitation will be held at the Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 895 Ouellette Avenue (519) 254-3223 on Monday August 27, 2012 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. A celebration of Alvina’s life will be held at 8 p.m. in the Memorial Chapel.
