She is now reunited with her loving husband, Donald. Beloved mother of the late Raymond (Kathy), Cathy (Bill) Nanson, David (Darcy MacNaughton), and Alan (Mary-Jane Hobden). Proud grandmother of Jeff (Julie), Katie, Laura (Ryan), Heather (Geoff), the late Jamie, Matthew, Breanne (Curtis) and Stephen (Jamie). Proud GG to James, Dylan, Cameron, Willem, Riley, Parker and Alivia. Dear sister of Molly (John) Harris, Margie (Ray) Cowie, Jean (Hank) Hedges, and Ted (Betty) Kinnin. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Ann spent the Second World War serving in the RCAF, stationed in Montreal teaching wireless to young Allied Forces radio operators. She later worked in the Windsor Board of Education main office as an executive administrative assistant, and later as the administrative assistant at Hugh Beaton Public School. Ann enjoyed gardening, sewing and was also very active in the Emmanuel United Church community, singing with Don in the choir, being involved with the UCW and craft group. Ann was also an active Youth Leader within the church. She made lifelong friends through these activities, many of whom she would later live with at Chartwell Oak Park Terrace Retirement Residence. Ann was a loving, devoted, supportive wife and the best mom, grandma and GG in the world!
Respectfully, with the health and safety of our loved ones in mind, a private graveside service has taken place and a Memorial Celebration will be held at a later date to honour her life. Donations in memory of Ann may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Emmanuel United Church or to the charity of your choice.
