He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Ana, who treasured him through their 46-year marriage. He was a cherished father of Goran and Vesna (Jonny), who will miss him dearly.

Boro was a devoted grandfather of Goran Jr. and Alicija, who considered him a father figure. They will miss their deda.

He was known for his generous spirit and love for family, and occasionally dark Bosnian humor.

He loved working as a teacher as a young man in Bosnia and Hercegovina, and during the Bosnian War in the 1990s, when all services ceased, including education, he founded a school with other colleagues to keep kids of all ages learning throughout the war. He was known for his bravery and perseverance – values he instilled in his children and grandchildren.

He will be remembered by his large extended family including a niece, nephews, and in-laws across Bosnia, Croatia, and Germany.

He loved spending time with his family, playing soccer with his children and grandchildren, watching basketball and completing crossword puzzles.

His legacy is one of strength, love, and generosity. He will be deeply missed and held dearly in the memories of all who knew him.

The family will hold a private viewing.
