As the first year anniversary is approaching - I have to tell you Clara is missed at SWC.  I miss her encouragement and her appreciation of our youth.

I remember Clara as a lady of Christian grace, so interested in and loving of her family and others.  My condolences to Cathie and Ray, Stewart and Heather, all of the grandchildren and extended family.

God was faithful to Clara and will be toward each of you in the coming days.

Aunt Clara's gentleness, kindness and faith remains an inspiration.  Our sorrow at your leaving is salved by the knowledge that you are in the company of all who have gone before and the hope that, one day, we shall enjoy your and Uncle Bill's company again.

Clara was a very sincere Christian who constantly amazed me with her wit and intelligence, and oh, what a memory !  May God bless your family !

Aunt Clara was a very special lady to me.  I have some very fond memories of spending time with her, from family get togethers at her house, or seeing her on Sundays at church. I will miss her deeply, and will hold all of my memories of her in my heart.  Thinking of the rest of the family at this time.

It was with sadness we learned that Clara is no longer with us, but rejoicing in the knowledge that she has been promoted to glory and is with her Lord and Saviour.   We count ourselves blessed to have known Clara and are thankful for the influence she had on our lives.  What a tremendous support and blessing she was to us while we had the privilege of being Corps Officers at South Windsor Citadel.  Clara was a role model and an example to us all.  Our thoughts and prayers are especially with Cathie and Stewart and her family and also with her friends at SWC.

It can't be put into words, the depth & breadth of positive, Christian influence that Clara had.  She was a gracious, caring person always in tune with what was going on in the world around her.  We shall miss her & our  chats over lunch at Donna Mae's, Pauls or wherever she chose.  We are grateful for the memories we have & family ties we share.  Our love & prayers are with all of you.

I will certainly miss my hug on Sunday morning, Clara was special and her encouragement to me and support of our youth  at SWC will be missed.  What a lovely lady to have know. My sympathy to her family

Stewart:  We extend our sympathy to you and the King family following the passing of your mother.  I am so happy we were able to get to know her better during our short stay in Windsor in 2007.  She was a very gracious lady and always spoke to us when we were visiting Windsor Citadel.   She is now at peace with her Lord and Saviour!

One of God's Saints has gone Home.  She has seen Jesus face to face, and what a wonderful reunion she has had with her loved ones.  Heaven is the richer!  We will miss her - her words of support and encouragement and her bright cheerful spirit.  To her family, may God grant you His comfort and peace.

Mrs. King was such an important and special person to our family, a beloved second mother. We will remember her bright and lovely spirit, her constant generosity, her kindness and boundless love. In over thirty years, she never once missed any of our birthdays.  No matter where we were, a birthday card always found us, each one with a special and encouraging message, always written in her perfect and elegant script. We will miss those cards.  We will miss you Mrs. King.  Love you forever.

Cathy and Stewart, you were so lucky to have such a wonderful christian mother. She had the biggest heart. I loved her dearly and to this day the fondest memory I have is Aunt Clara and Uncle Bill sitting at home in front of the piano singing to me, Building up the temple. That became my favorite sunday school song.  Thank you Aunt Clara for being such a possitive influence in my life. I will miss you big time.  Jo-Ann Winterbottom

Clara and Bill met me at the airport when I moved to Windsor in 1986. I cherish the memories I have and the influence they had in my life. Deepest sympathies to all on Clara's passing.
