

Elizabeth K. Watson passed peacefully away on January 12, 2026. Wife of Edward A. Watson, Beloved mother to Katherine and Michael (Rachita). Proud Grandma of Anabelle, Isabelle, Jasmine. Sister to William Fiss and Mary Colletti, and the late Charles Fiss, David Fiss and John Fiss. Daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Link) Fiss of Madison WI.
Beth graduated from St Mary’s with a BA in 1961, and her Master’s degree (MLS) from the University of Chicago in 1963. That same year, she was married and made the move to Toronto Canada. Beth began her career at the University of Toronto as a reference librarian, then moved to Windsor in 1966, taking a similar role at the University of Windsor. In the early 1970’s she moved to the Windsor Public Library System and worked at a number of branches (Budimir, Seminole, Ambassador, Walkerville and Main) in a variety of increasingly senior roles for the remainder of her career, retiring in 2004.
Beth was a loving mother and grandmother, who enjoyed time with her family. She was a very proud and independent woman. Throughout her lifetime, Beth was a prolific reader who loved children’s literature, book club, cooking, gardening, old movies, British television shows, scrapbooking, and saving a dollar.
A visitation will be held from 2pm until 5pm on Wednesday, January 21st, 2026, at Anderson Funeral Home (895 Ouellette Ave, Windsor, ON N9A 4J6). Visitation will resume from 10am until time of service at 11am on Thursday, January 22nd, 2026, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (4401 Mt Royal Dr, Windsor, ON N9G 2C5). A private burial to follow.
