(Ernest) Lorne Mann

We mourn the loss, but celebrate the long, full life of (Ernest) Lorne Mann, beloved husband of Rita for 68 years. Cherished father of Catherine Dziedziejko (Tom), Jim (Janet) and Larry (Janis). Devoted grandfather of Daniel Dziedziedjko (Jedidja), Susan Dziedziejko, Chris Mann (Lindsey), Scott Mann (Brittany) and Brian Mann (Sara). Proud great-grandfather of Gabriella, Naomi, Caleb, Adam & Cody. Lorne was a member of Grace Baptist Church where he served in various capacities including deacon. He was a member and Past Master of Great Western Lodge #47 A.F. & A.M., Life Member of Windsor Lodge of Perfection, Life Member of the Windsor Chapter of Rose Croix and Life Member of Moore Sovereign Consistory. Lorne was a long-time member of South Port Sailing Club where he served as Commodore in 1975. When Lorne was 50 years old, he changed careers and obtained his RN degree. Lorne & Rita enjoyed a long happy retirement visiting family, cruising on their sailboat and travelling extensively. Although he suffered major health issues in his later years, his religious faith supported him. Memorial visitation will be held at the Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 895 Ouellette Avenue (519) 254-3223 on Thursday, December 9, 2021 beginning at 12 Noon. A Masonic Memorial Service under the auspices of Great Western Lodge #47 A.F & A.M. will take place at 12:30 p.m., followed by the Memorial Service at 1 p.m., officiated by Pastor James Tiffin. . If desired, memorial donations made to the Windsor Regional Kidney Care Centre would be appreciated by the family.
