It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marion on January 2, 2022 at 100 years of age. Reunited with her late husband Donald (1988) and daughter Karen (2003). Loving mother of Dana (Linda) and Mark. Cherished grandmother to Steven (Trisha), Ryan (Katie) and Tina (Allen). Great-grandmother to Taylor, Brandon and Logan. Dearly remembered by her sister Sheila, many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Born July 30, 1921 on the family farm in Camden Township, Kent County, Marion had a strong faith and was a member of the United Church of Canada. She contributed actively to the war effort both working and volunteering during World War ll. An avid reader she was well versed on current events and could vehemently debate current events and issues. She enjoyed playing cards and played weekly at her card club well into her 90's. She religiously did the daily crossword and was always mindful of keeping her mind sharp. Marion was fiercely loyal, direct and to the point -- you always knew where you stood with her -- a true "Scottish Lady". We loved her with all our hearts and we will miss her dearly. Many thanks to all of the staff at Richmond Terrace (Amherstburg, Ontario) for taking care of Marion these last years. A private family service will be held at the Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Centre followed by interment at Victoria Memorial Gardens. A celebration of Marion’s life will take place at a later date.
